Non-Protestant Evangelical Fundamental Conserative Christians: (e.g. Latter-Day Saints & Jehhovah's Witnesses They generally believe in:
1. The inerrancy of the Bible.
2. The Bible not only contains the Word of God, it is the Word of God; God inspired the individual authors to prevent them from error.
3. The virgin conception of Jesus.
4. Jesus led a sinless life while on earth.
5. Satan is a very powerful and all-evil presence in the world. He possesses many supernatural powers.
*6. Salvation is afree gift...but... you must still work to maintain it achieved by going door-to-door witnessing.
7. Only those who have trusted in Jehovah's True Church or Organization will be saved. Mormons hope is to attain the third and most high relm of heaven, where as JW's, LHMMs, EBS, and Second Adventists hope to attain eternal life on this earth restored.
*8. Hell is NOT an eternal place of fire punishment. That hell is simply a mistranslation of the Hebrew word SHEOL, which transaltes into English as "The Grave". The ultimate punishment for the unpentive as well as the opposite of eternal life is merely eternal death, or to cease to exist forever, never be resurrected back to life again. The Catholic Church offically changed it's view on hell from an eternal punishment to eternal seperation from God. The Moderate branches of Protestants as with Progressives also believe this view of what hell is.
*9. Does NOT believe that the 'rapture' teaching is bibical. Believes instead that we are living in the Last Days of this present AGE. The Jesus will bring about Armageddon and then He will restored THIS earth rather than destroy it. The Second Advent believe that Christ will come physically and visible in the fleash and will bring heaven down to rest upon the restored earth forever. Whereas JW's, LHMMs, and EBS believe Christ's presense will be invisible and merely in a spiritual sense from heaven and that He will cause this earth to be fully restored as it is in heaven.
10.Creation science: that the universe was created by God less than 10,000 years ago.
11. Feel a strong obligation to evangelize: to share their religious beliefs with those who are not saved, in order to bring them to a saving knowledge of Jesus.
12. Are strongly opposed to women having access to abortion.
13. Regard homosexuality as a chosen, changeable, sinful behavior, condemned by God. They often reject sexually- active homosexuals as church members, and certainly as clergy.
14. They actively oppose and condemn any action to give gays and lesbians equal human rights to heterosexuals -- particularly the right to marry.
15. JW's do not believe in voting period nor getting into politics in any way. Like Quakers The Church of God of Abraham faith fully supports those who choose in good conscience not to go to war.
